There are various categories of members:
- Ordinary members are physicians with post-graduate qualification in paediatrics, registrable with the Nigerian Medical Council.
- Trainee members are Residents in Paediatrics.
- Associate members include interested medically qualified practitioners not eligible for admission as ordinary members, Nutritionists, Nurses and other professionals with special interest in Paediatrics and Child Health.
- Honorary members. PAN has provision in her constitution to recognize non members who have made outstanding contributions to Paediatrics and Child Health and to the welfare of children generally.
All potential new members hoping to be inducted in January 2011 are expected to have completed all processes required for induction by December 2010 ending. These processes include:
- submission of filled forms to the secretary or treasurer
- payment of induction fees N6000
- payment for PAN scarf or tie N4000
- membership form N1000.
Forms will not be collected at conference venue as the screening would have been concluded. Such forms will be deferred to 2012.
